What we offer

In-person & online
NeuroMovement® Lessons for Children

In-Person NeuroMovement® Lessons for children

Using physical movement, touch, and verbal communication, Phoebe MacRae creates opportunities for your child’s brain and nervous system to upgrade naturally. Unlike many standard intervention therapy Phoebe doesn’t look to FIX your child. Instead she looks to CONNECT with your child in order to foster the creation of new brain connections. These new brain connections lead to nervous system regulation and new skills.

In-person lessons occur in my studio or in your own home/space.

IN-Person Lessons for Children are ideal for children/families who…

  • want hands-on intervention with a highly qualified Anat Baniel Method® Practitioner

  • are ready to travel to access effective alternative treatment

  • live locally

On-line @Home Coaching

Using an online meeting platform Phoebe MacRae offers OnLine @Home Coaching for parents and caregivers.

Online Coaching is perfect for learning how parents and caregivers can support your child in a way that builds their brain’s capacity to make new connections.

No specialized equipment is necessary for the child.

Q & A

*

Q & A *

  • NeuroMovement® is different. Rather than seeking an outcome as a sign of progress or focusing on a distinct area of concern Phoebe invites your child’s brain and Nervous System to discover new ways to move and function through whole-body co-ordination.

This supports a powerful, natural learning process that leads to spontaneous outcomes.

  • All lessons are customized for your child and are very gentle.

I use slow, gentle movement and awareness to invite and guide your child’s nervous system to notice what they are doing and guide them into other possibilities. Sometimes I use toys, books or other items to engage with your child.

If your child like songs and music this is a particular expertise of mine!

In-person Lessons with Phoebe take place on a treatment table, in a caregiver’s lap, or on the floor. The child is fully clothed.

The child’s comfort and sense of safety is the most important factor in deciding where the lesson takes place.

Parents and caregivers are present to observe the lesson, maximizing the power of the session.

Brilliant Movement Children Lessons are usually between 30-45 minutes in length. The child leads the duration of the lesson.

  • NeuroMovement uses your child’s natural capacity to build and grow new brain connections that lead to nervous system regulation and skill development.

Specific, slow, gentle, movement that mimics the natural developmental process organizes the brain which then creates opportunities for new neural pathways and skills to form.

  •  Learning and change can be instantaneous. I recommend starting your NeuroMovement® with an introductory consultation and then a cluster of 6 to 10 lessons over 1-2 weeks to get powerful results. We’ll review your child’s progress and (if needed) adjust the plan together.

Unlike a weekly PT or OT appointments Phoebe’s Lesson structure is designed to be an immersion experience. Since we are looking to prime the brain of your child to holistically create new brain connections, an immersion gives your child the best chance to create a REAL shift in their feeling and functions.

We can discuss your situation to determine what works best for your family.

  • Phoebe offers in-home NeuroMovement® lessons to families with medically fragile children or those who can not easily travel to see her in her office. Please reach out to Phoebe for more information about in-home lessons.

  •  Yes. On-line @Home Parent coaching lessons are a very effective way to work with me to help you with your child.

I observe how you interact with your child and offer you ideas to upgrade your own brain while supporting your child’s nervous system and brain development.

I like to help you while you are engaging with your child in “daily” activities like playing, eating, clothing etc.

When you upgrade your interactions with your child to support their nervous system, learning emerges spontaeously.

  • Lessons are not covered by insurance as NeuroMovement® is not a medical modality.

Some clients have had success using Health Savings Accounts to pay for Lessons but you must arrange that with your medical team and insurance.

  • TaborSpace is served by TriMet bus service line #15. Other close bus routes include the #71 and #75 on Cesar Chavez Blvd

There is parking at TaborSpace. A free Parking Lot is located on the NW corner of SE Belmont and SE 54th Ave. Some street parking is available on SE Belmont St.

Success Stories

Real Results from Real Families

“After his first lesson, he began tolerating riding in his car seat IMMEDIATELY following his first lesson... Today we traveled 90 miles with just a break to drink a bottle.”

— LB, Mother of a child with multiple diagnoses.

“My favorite part about my child working with Phoebe is being given the opportunity to really slow down and observe my child- to see her make new connections, and new movement patterns begin to emerge.

After working with Phoebe my child now WALKS!”
