It’s different. Rather than stretching or strengthening a specific muscle like in PT, or trying to relief tension in your muscles by rubbing them, Phoebe invites your brain and Nervous System to discover new ways to move and function through whole-body co-ordination.

No. Pain is a signal from the brain that we need to adjust what we are doing or how we are doing it.
In Movement lessons we stay well within your comfort level so your brain is more available to find solutions to your pain, anxiety, weakness or chronic condition.

Results can start to appear in your first lesson(s). Most adults start with a cluster of 6 to 8 lessons over 2-3 weeks to get long-lasting results. We’ll review your progress and (if needed) adjust the plan together.
Unlike a weekly PT or Massage appointments Phoebe’s Lesson structure is designed to be an immersion experience. Since we are looking to LEARN new movement patterns to develop upgraded habits, an immersion gives you the best chance to create a REAL shift in how you feel and function.
After your immersion I recommend you return for more lessons when you sense you need more clarity or help. -
Yes. Remote lessons are a very effective way to work with me to help you with your pain or concern.
I verbally guide you to sense and move in ways that translate to daily life.

NeuroMovement® practitioners don’t call this practice Energy Work but it might feel it!

Lessons are not covered by insurance as NeuroMovement® is not a medical modality.
Some clients have had success using Health Savings Accounts to pay for Lessons but you must arrange that with your medical team and insurance.

There is parking at TaborSpace. A free Parking Lot is located on the NW corner of SE Belmont and SE 54th Ave. Some street parking is available on SE Belmont St.

In a Brilliant Movement Group Movement Lessons for Adults I verbally invite you to use slow, gentle movement to guide your nervous system to new levels of mental and physical flexibility.
I use my words to guide you to experience easy, natural movement that creates new brain connections.
These new brain connections can lead you out of chronic pain and anxiety. The results include empowerment, calmness and increased vitality.
Group Movement Lessons can accommodate your comfort level. Depending on the lesson they take place seated in a chair, lying on a mat on the floor (or on a treatment table - if the floor is too far away!), or in standing position.
Using specific verbal communication, Phoebe creates opportunities for your brain and nervous system to make new upgraded connections which naturally which leads to pain reduction, clarity of thought, upgrade in physical functions and greater joy in life.
Students are fully clothed (including socks!) in their own non-restrictive clothing.
Supports are provided but you are welcome to bring your favorite supports too!
